Anyone have any books or literature on old Mount Washington Burmese glass shapes that can confirm this piece is by them??? Found this article and one piece looks similar to mine. It was all hand blown so each piece is diffrent but would you guys say this piece is by MT Washington or no way?? http://www.journalofantiques.com/apr05/featureapr05.htm I know it is not Fenton they did not do rigaree. Could be Webb or Murano Burmese. Can't find my black light to test. (Webb & Mt Washington glow with black light, Murano Burmese does not.) Will test as soon as I get a black light. also found this one on ebay but we all know how reliable correct identification is with ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mt-Washington-Matte-Burmese-Art-Glass-Basket-/110668522511?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c45ba40f Mine is approx. 7 1/2" tall and 17 1/2" around the widest part of the vase.
Thanks

Just thought I would update everyone on what I have discovered so far. I posted on a glass forum and They confermed it is not Fenton, It is not Murano Burmese as I have tested it with Black Light & it does contain gold & uranium oxide as it does have a beautiful reaction under black light.(Murano Burmese does not) but was told on the glass forum that Both form & color is wrong for either Mt. Washington or Webb ( as these 2 companies both react under black light testing). So I have emailed photos & info to the Curatorial Dept. at the Corning Museum of glass and I wait. An exhibition of glassware produced by the Mt. Washington Glass Company of New Bedford, Massachusetts, and its successor, the Pairpoint Company will be at the Museum this summer and am very excited to visit the museum to view this if my schedule allows.
Will keep you guys updated.
