I know this may not be the place to ask for this kind of help, so I will understand if this topic is deleted. I found these and they are actually from the 1700's and are listed at an exceptionally low price. I love them and I must have them for my collection! But I don't have a UK account. :( I will pay someone through paypal if they can help me! You can message me privately if you can help me out.

I just realized that I bet someone can just do the "Buy it Now" part and I can probably pay the seller with my own account and have them ship it to me. So, you wouldn't even have to deal with any money. ;)
-
hosman, can't you just do it through your own US account? I've scanned through the UK at times and have even 'Watched" items. Try signing in as you would normally do, it should recognize you........and they do offer shipping to US and Canada. It should work just like 'normal' I would think.
-
I just signed in no problem! Go get'em girl!!! :D
-
Crisis somewhat averted, I found them on the US site. But the bank account we use for our paypal only has $21 in it so now I have to go to the bank this afternoon and transfer money. Ugh, I hope they will still be there, he requires immediate payment so I can't click buy it now!

I've tried to sign into the UK account before and it wouldn't let me. I'll go try!
-
Oh my gosh, it really did let me. Why didn't it work before? User error, I suppose. ;)
-
If you do online banking you should be able to transfer, save you the trip.........and grab them faster.
-
Unless it's separate banks ;)
-
We have a bank of america California account and all transfers take 3 days and cost $50 each. We really need to switch banks. :P
I hope nobody spots them, each one of those pieces would be $150+ through my regular dealer woman.
And yeah, the other account is through a different bank. :-\
-
3 days and $50 !!! Holy Hannah, have they got Tales riding shootgun on their stagecoach too?? :o
-
"We have a bank of america California account and all transfers take 3 days and cost $50 each" ??? I would be switching banks faster than you can read this. In fact, I do not have any accounts with banks anymore...only credit unions.
Hosman, if you have a credit card and if you want to use it on PayPal, you can BIN and use the credit card. It depends on the level of your PayPal account.
Good luck!
-
I'll take my 10 seconds and Free any day.......that really is highway robbery! I have my Paypal set up that if the funds aren't in my account it will automatically charge my credit card.
Fingers crossed hosman. Would love to see you doing your happy dance! ;)

Doesn`t paypal give you an amount you can use above the actual balance !! When I look at "limits" at paypal it has $500. on mine and all I ever keep in paypal is a couple of hundred !!
-
Might be true but I would want to know what interest they will be charging before I would use Paypal's money. I do not think they will let you use their cash for free.
-
Thats true but it has to be cheaper that what her bank charges !!
-
I was going to say that I'll happily buy them for you and even sort out the posting, but I just realised that they're located in Haddonfield, New Jersey, United States, so I must have missed something ??
-
Oh man, I just checked this and saw the auction ended so then I checked and hosman bought it! Hallelujah, I thought someone else snuck in there and snatched 'her' fabric.
-
Muahaha (evil laughter), they're all mine! :D
The seller said I got lucky because someone snatched them up (in person) but had too much stuff in their hands and put them back. I plan on selling the one with the sides cut off, I know I can get a minimum of $60 once I list it properly, as a 1780's piece. It actually looks like it may be closer the 1770's. Then, I will have gotten mine for free. Plus a little! And free is always good. :)
Here's a few examples from that time period that my lady is selling.
This one is very faded. The colors on mine are still very dark and clear.

Pretty,, but somehow I just can`t get into fabric thats older than I am !! Its a very small piece !!!
-
Oh I just love them. I love displaying them. I only buy red, white and blue ones (pretty much the only colors used in France before 1800) and have a very particular taste. I'm always amazed at the shape they are in after over 200 years and holding them takes me back in time. Those pieces are small, but I like them just the same. :)
-
Well, I listed one of these on ebay, here's to hoping I get at least 30-something bucks so I feel like I got a good buy! ;)
