Title: Tilt Top Antique Table

I inherited a Tilt Top Table from a relative in New England.  How do I assess the value and the correct way to refinish it?  Thanks!

Do not refinish it before ascertaining its current value and finish. Original finishes are worth more than a refinish job on antique furniture. Posting some pics here along with any maker marks will help the furniture experts determine what you have.
