One more "antique" that came into our Militaria display today, nice elderly lady wanted to know maker and if there is any particular value, only marking other than numbers on plain white base are photographed. I promise I wont delve into this area again. Ive got to know my limitations as Clint Eastwood once said! Thanks all!

Isn't this Little Red Riding Hood with the wolf? Except she is "blue"? Lots of items were made at this time period by Hull, McCoy...but this is unmarked.... Most were made in Japan at this time and were marked so.... Still, a nice piece....the details are so unique yet familiar!
Funny how people got hooked on the the Traveling Antique Id Shows and are seeking all sources to find out about their treasures!!!! Kinda neat! I mighta been one of those to show up! :)

Tex I believe your piece was done by a European maker Def not US, Reminds me of work done by Schafer & Vater makers of small ceramic items, are best known for their amusing figurals. The factory was located in Volkstedt-Rudolstadt, Germany, from 1890 to 1962. Some pieces are marked with the crown and R mark, but many are unmarked. Almost positive it is their work, if so I would value it around $80.00 in this market.
