I'd like to know how much this safe is worth. I'm not planning to sell it, so I don't need anything exact. I'm just curious because it's in decent condition. Thank you for any help you can give. :)
~ This is all of the information I can see on the safe:
Victor Safe & Lock Co.
Cincinnati, Ohio
Patents:
Dec.29. '85
June.7. '87
Oct.11. '87
Nov.1. '87
Oct.2. '88
Jan.22. '89
June.18. '89 or '90 (the paint is scratched off over date)
It has 4 wheels, also cast iron.
There is a combination lock, and it works.

I would guess $300-400 if the locks are working. If the locks are not working, it is a very heavy anchor. I see old safes frequently and the bigger they are, the cheaper they are. People want to be able to move it themselves. A new, modern, small safe is usually what everyone ends up buying in the same price range.

Thats about right on price !! I would just restore it and use it !! They are hard to sell in my area !!

The lock does work. And it is made so it will lock, permanately, if the safe is moved (stolen), while locked. We actually had to call a locksmith once because this happened. We were moving it from one house to another. It's a pain in the butt to open it if this happens. There is a mechanism inside like a maze, and we had to roll the safe over side to side, and end to end, following the locksmith's instructions, to unlock the mechanism. Keep in mind, this safe weighs hundreds of pounds! It took 5 men just to lift it into the back of our pick up. LOL! We learned our lesson, that's for sure!
Thank you, both, for responding! I do love this safe. My mom bought it at an auction over 35 years ago, and I could never sell it. It's a part of my childhood.

Especially those who do Night Shifts! ;D
