Title: Oh where has the forum been??

Boy oh boy, was that painful. My main site got "hacked" and a bunch of files were corrupted with some java script.
The irony is, the java did not appear to do anything (!) I scanned them with some web scanning services, and it would come back "its clean!"

It just so happens I took a copy of the whole site late last month, so I was able to upload all the forum files fresh!

So we are back to a semblance of normalcy, but now I have to figure out how they got in.. Its not like on "teevee" its a bit harder than that.

WOW!!  Yes, Thanks for all your hard work...  Unfortunately, I am having the same problem with my email, ebay and paypal account....  I don't think it's related (at all) but everyone be on the lookout!

If only they would use their powers for good instead of evil!!

You guys are what makes this site cool though.. It was sort of lonely here for the first few years, but now its quite entertaining reading all the posts!
2011 is the 15th anniversary of antique-shop.com.. You would think I should have done something special.. hmm.

I do have a new logo and color scheme.. but I just have to get busy and use it..

Thank you for providing such a great site, we all love it here. Those pesky hackers can't break us!
However, I can't seem to see any pictures on the site anymore, is this just me? They are all white boxes with red X's. 
By the way, I really like the red and black color scheme but the logo could use an update. :)

My pic was gone from my profile so I had to reload it.

It appears to me that pics that were uploaded from personal computers ("browse" and then chosen on your computer) are all missing while pics that had a URL address are OK and those with offsite links are still visible. Thoughts?

I need to get the system to point to the right folder. the pictures are there, they are just hidden at the moment.

OK, almost all is well... The only issue is we lost all uploaded photos between June 21 (the last backup created) and July 10th. (the date of the event) :(
But we should be done and back to normal now. Thanks for the patience!

I seems to have disappeared .... I recall changing it back in January time ... no problem though, about time I updated it!

Ironically, it was because I had uploaded a large backup file (11 gig) at the providers request..
and, 7 days later , it put me over the size requirements.

if it aint one thing, its another.

back to normal.. nothing to see here...

Provider employees - a part of the human race that accepts NOTHING. Not even common sense.

Had the same problem this morning while updating my site - it was time for a 'clean' update (delete everything, upload new). I had informed them that I would delete 24 MB data in 3641 files and re-upload, and was told it was okay. After one third of it my access was blocked because "somebody" using "my IP" was deleting "more than 10 files" (LOL!).

Either I've lost my touch (and a few more brain cells) or it really doesn't want me uploading another pic to my profile.  I still have that stupid ? mark in the blue box and have tried several times to choose another pic.......maybe just something I'm doing wrong or just not doing  :P
