Title: 3 things found today - wooden urn/vase thing

Okay, not sure what it is, just liked it because it was so Gawdy, but what the heck is it? Made out of a single piece of wood, and the entire inside has been hollowed out , looks like with a lathe. WHat interests me is the way the inside has been hollowed out. Pretty basic carving on the outside, but no markings anywhere. SOmething just carved by some guy at home or worth anything?

I see that style all the time. I think they were brought back by tourists on vacation. No idea where.

Aghhh, yes, the classic Caribbean wooden momento. I have a carved turtle from Haiti that is the same style now that you mention it. Okay, the $5 bin it is!!!
