If anyone can help, I would like to know if this Asian bowl, with what appears to be randomly applied Gold flake, is worth a $20.00 professional appraisle.
It was with the other early 1820's Knight Elkin & Co. bowl I found which is why I believe it may have some age and value. I do know it's not from the dollar store.
Thanks in advance.Tim

I can't tell much from your images , rush2112 .
I will suggest that you might want to check out gotheborg.com to peek around for a matching hallmark (it's a great site for that) .

Looks like Japanese Imari ware from latter part of 20th century looking at the wear on the foot !! It is either a rice bowl or could be a tea bowl !! You didn`t give the size of it !! Some Imari was hand painted but much of it is transferware !! As for the gold flake,, you could check the artist and see if it was part of his/her style !! There are ( looks like) poppies and chrysanthemums in the flowers which might help track down the pattern name !!
