Hello
I purchased this in a trading post and havent been able to find any info on it? I have no idea what animal it is or if its even very old? And I would appreciate any help. Thanks

the clock says ANKER if that makes any difference? Its not clear in the pic

My vote is a bear ;). I assume no markings on it. Is it possible to get a pic of the base. Looks like a classic Mid Century Piece. What powers the clock could lend a clue too. Cute Bear ;)

I believe your porcelain bear was made by Formenton like these and they purchased the clock pieces from Anker http://cgi.ebay.com/Formenton-Italy-Anker-Germany-Horse-Statue-Clock-/280715482490?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415bf2557a http://cgi.ebay.com/ANTIQUE-1930S-ANKER-WINDUP-ALARM-DEER-GERMAN-CLOCK-/220588233148?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item335c1551bc is your also windup? Very Very cute !! :D

Thank You for all the info. I posted a pic of his tail. Its long so it made me think fox but the ears say bear to me? The clock is a wind up and I posted a pic of the bottom but its not great. It has a sticker that says 503 Italy and in red writing it says something like. (L.JESSULPT) Its getting worn and hard to read. He has a small chip behind his ear which Im sure diminishes his value but I only paid $10 for him and he's too cute to part with anyways.

Are you sure it's not a deranged Papillion or spaniel?
