Hi...
Does anyone happen to know anything about this watercolor? There is no signature and nothing on the back. We found it in a house my father-in-law purchased maybe 30 years ago, in Seattle.
Thanks for your input,
Penny

As best I can tell from the pic,, its an excellent work from the standpoint of technique !! I would take it out of the frame and see if it has a signature that is covered by the mat !!

Yeah, I have done that -- no signature. :(
Thank you. It really is a lovely painting.

Well, since you live in the area,, I would take it to a few galleries and see if they recognize it !! Could be a local artist !! Could also call a few watercolorists if any listed in phonebook !! Galleries also usually know the local ones !! Might give you contact info !!

Good idea. I posted on one other site, but have had no action. We tried to get on Antique Roadshow, but were not chosen. Maybe next time. We have one other painting and a gigantic plaster frame that is about 100 years old. I did a painting for it, just so I could hang it up, but it needs repairs. Then we have a smaller plaster frame. All of these came from the same house.
Thank you for your help.
