I have found this Abraham Lincoln token, and i have tried to do some research on it before posting here. I don't know the age of it. All i can say about the age is that it was made after his death, but that is obvious. I have not found a lot of information on these. I have found a couple on auction type sites, but they give no info about it. They just title their auction as a token, and the description it says they do know much about it.
I would really be interested to know where it came from, who made.
Out of taking multiple pictures this is the best i could get:

I don't know anything about it. I found one like it here:

Interesting... In the link below by snowflake, the seller states 1981. I first thought it could be a typo (for 1881, as stated on coin) BUT, she also has 1981 in the title. I would email her and see if she has history. Could have been a commemorative coin celebrating 100 years of his first inauguration. That would be my first stop.... If produced in 1981, there should be a bunch on the net.
I'm sure you know from your research there were countless coins, ribbons, pamphlets, etc. produce to memorialize Lincoln in the years following his death. Finding the maker might prove daunting.... but I don't blame you for wanting to know! ;D

Thanks for the info guys...I will try to see what i can find out. The date of 1981 in that listing has me interested, because there is not a 1981 date on the token. 100 year commemorative would fall in 1965, so maybe the seller knows something more about it that would place the date at 1981 ;D

You're welcome! I hope you find something about them. Good luck!

HA! Now I see my error - Was thinking his inauguration year 1861, not 1881 which would be 100 years from 1981... ::)
never-mind....
