Title: Trying to ID Royal Bayreuth Bavaria China Pattern
Post by: GreenhornGirl on September 03, 2011, 12:07:10 PM
Having a heck of a time trying to identify this china pattern name.  I would just post it as is but they have such particular pattern names that I feel like people will be searching for the pattern.  Problem is I've looked through hundreds and not found this pattern yet.  It is marked on the bottom with a number 11 in gold.  Any ideas on pattern or year estimate?  It's Royal Bayreuth.

It's 4 3/8" diameter, 1/2" deep.  I think it's one of their small plates for their cups.

yes that would be a saucer for a cup set, hence the ring in the center, ones without the ring in the center is called a Bread Plate.  And you are correct about needing to know the pattern name.  I have tried to sell saucers without cup to no avail, and if you have the name maybe someone can find it for a missing or broken piece.  However the most common part that is broken is the cup.  I'm sure you have looked at replacement, which sometimes can be daunting to look through.

Yeah, I spent my last waking hours last night (or this AM, should say) looking through every single pattern replacements.com had.  It wasn't on there.  None of theirs had even similar to the gold rim on this one.
