Hey everyone, I am trying to date these pieces I just got from Goodwill. The mark looks like one from 1879 to 1889 but I'm not sure. There are also crossed swords and various numbers pressed into the pieces themselves. Thanks for any advice! They are in bad shape but I just had to rescue them. :)

Oops double picture. I will fix it when I get home.

Might be this one found here:

Would love to see what the whole piece is! :)

Thats the mark I thought too. Sorry I am having cell phone issues. :)

The date would make sense also because of this found here:

...and that piece looks like a great find! So pretty. Did you get the whole set?

Looks like it was made 1876-1879. Thank you! I only got two pieces. They are both broken and really worn, which I knows makes them worth next to nothing. But they were just mixed in with the other junk and I knew they were old. I'll take better pics soon. The second piece doesn't have any Haviland marks and I thought it was an exact match to the marked one but I may be wrong. It does look equally old though. Would this be real gold decoration ? It looks like it but I can't tell.

I wish I could help you out with the gold but I would not be able to tell. Hopefully someone else can. Can't wait to see what you got!

My first piece is on the front of this page. I would love to know the pattern name. :-\
Gonna go take pics.

They are both sad little pieces but I like them just the same.

Oh, and it looks like 1879 if I go by both the marks. ;)
