I dont know if you consider this an antique or not. But is this an ashtray? If not what is it?
-
Could be if that is what you want it to be! Most likely a tourist item for decoration! Very interesting the signs of the constellations and Jerusalem!
-
Sure looks like a ashtray to me.
-
It sure is an ashtray .
These items can be 'retasked' as such , for non-smokers ..... however most all smokers have an eye for ashtrays , and are prone by their nature to use them , even if there's 'stuff' in them ....
poss re-tasks :
holy water font
'catch-all' dish
shrapnel-deflecting yarmulke

Is it worth anything if i were to sell it?
-
Fancypants, you are on a roll tonight !! LOL

Ashtrays sell pretty well, I have several and they move at a good past, but not for much, Usually mid $.00 to low $$.00.

That is an ashtray. No mistake about it! I have two vintage standing ashtrays myself. But i'm not selling them, i'm using them!

Fancy: OT here but I must say that the raccoon pic cracks me up!! Such evil little creatures but so dang cute!! I swear if they ever develop opposable thumbs they will rule the world....

Yes, it is an ashtray. As a collector of ashtrays myself--great piece! I would guess 1960s or 1970s. There are some similar ones for sale online for $18-20, brass Jerusalem decorative ashtrays. Didn't find any exactly like yours, yours is more decorative & unique then the others I found.
