Title: What are these?
Post by: Snapper on September 19, 2011, 10:30:41 AM
The reservoirs are made of cast iron and the only mark is a "W3" on the inside of the heart. Are these for making candles, candy? thank you.

We had these come up once before. They are irons for making Swedish cookie pastries if I remember correctly. Lemme see if I can find the old posting...

Here you go, the one that came up before was a Scandanavian rosette iron, yours are the same concept but they make a different shape.

Yours are for making the pastry shells that are filled !! Dip the bottom side as far up as you want the shell deep and then in hot oil to fry !! When removed they make little heart shaped pastry shells !!  They are made by the same companies that make the rosette irons !! The rosette iron I sold recently had an add to buy these as extras to the set !!
