Title: Pressed Glass - Identifying
Post by: myersw on July 30, 2004, 09:05:59 PM
Hi!
New to the forum, and collecting in general... I searched all over the net and I can't find this tray I found.  Its a beautiful piece, has a pearlessense like carnival glass, but I have seen alot of carnival glass where pieces of it were colored specifically (in this case, the roses).  The entire tray is about 12" in diameter, and while the roses are red, when I look thru to the sunlight, they get a golden tint to the clear areas.  Any ideas?

Also, if anyone knows a good book for the beginner on 'how to identify' good glass pieces, etc... I would LOVE the help.

Thanks!!!
William
