Title: Vintage ship sculpture
Post by: JoshandLila on September 24, 2011, 09:05:36 AM
Hi again everybody. I found this a year ago at an estate sale and was wondering if it would have a value other than just being really cool to look at. It was made in "74 by Continental Studios and it looks like all the detailing on the sail's was hand done, and they're detailed front and back. Were not sure what its made of, some kind of resin. I couldnt find anything on the company so I figured Id check with you all. I know this isnt antique, but if someone could point me in a direction Id appreciate it. thanks!!

Doesn't look handmade but looks like it was molded!  Especially if it is made of resin!

ya I knew the main body was molded, but the details are all carved in, by hand by the looks of it... just thought it might have an artistic value and I cant find anything on the company.

There is a Continental Studio art school or something I found the other day. Not sure what computer I was on when I bookmarked it. Will check and see.

So far...here is a link to a Continental Studio Bull sculpture:

Arghhh, having trouble finding the company. Going to check my other computer.
