Title: Antique Strollers

This is a fascinating piece on the evolution of the baby carriage.  The photos are amazing, particularly the ones from the 1930s and the WWII gas mask strollers.  However, it's lacking information about the creation of the double stroller.  Does anyone know who created the double stroller or how it came about?

There is an interesting slide show on this site that has some history on the double stroller. According to them there really is no record of the actual first double stroller.
