I don't know why we have it or where it came from. It has the name of the wife then: Officers Wives, 444 Sqn RCAF, Germany 57/61.
I am going to track down the family and ask if they want it back. Just wondering if it would be a type of candle holder, or for fake flowers?
Any idea what I would call it?
Thanks in advance.

What a neat find!
Sure looks like it is missing something to me!

Some sort of burner or warmer would be my best Guess

I just googled her name and found a person with her name that passed on in 1989. It was in a legion magazine. I'll contact them and they should be able to find out if it was her and will probably know how to contact her family. That was easy! She lived about an hour and a half from me. (If it was hers)

Good eye ironlord. I wasn't really sure what I was looking at in the 2nd pic and realize the top must come off. Looks as if burners sat inside! Since the women usually has LOTS of luncheons/Teas/Socials....could be a warmer that way!!!!

I wonder if it is missing something? I just don't know what to tell them what I have. I'm sure they would want it though, I would if it was for someone in my family.

Sorry I posted at the same time. I bet that is right! Tea light candles would keep the food warm. My mother in law had silver holders like that. They weren't the same shape, open circles with legs. Thanks a bunch!!!

SF - Great idea job of tracking down the family. Good for you!!

Thanks, Oceans! I hope it is the same person. I will e-mail the Canadian Legion today. I'll let you know if anything comes of it. That was way too easy! I still have another piece to track down. (The one I used tarn-x on) but want to see if I can fix it up through polishing it first. It was ruined!

Thanks, KC. I just know I would like it if it was part of my family history.
