Title: ANTIQUE PLATES.

I had heard a couple of years ago that I had valuable plates in my home.  I don't know how true that is so I will ask.  One of my plates has the the ten commandments written in the center of the plate wiht flowers surrounding them and etch all around the trim and into the plate in 18k gold.  I don't know what year they were made but they wre pade in Japan .  If someone could give me some insight I really would appreciate it.

if they are marked made, in japan they were made after 1921. I don't think the value is going to be too high.
