Post by: greenacres on October 19, 2011, 05:40:40 PM
I've seen things like it. It looks Scandinavian to me, but I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is correct. What do you think?

Literally 20 lbs?  Wow, it's hard to tell...it's hard to see in that pic because in the window it either opens too big or too small to see.  No maker marks, obvs?

Possibly Orrefors, but could also be Kosta Boda, both do lots of this style or crystal work, usually very heavy and thick.

Was there a lid to it? I don't know what it is but the round nubs around the edge look like they might of kept a lid from sliding off.

Without knowing the size it is hard to tell, Both of those Companies are big in Candle Holders.  Being thsat is 20lbs.  I would have to guess a candle Holder for a Pillar Candle, this would just be a guess though.

I've had a long day. I'm beat! It's 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" I think it is a ashtray or candy dish? Not sure. It must be from the 70"s. I bought it in a lot. It's just sits around. Maybe I should sell it. I'm not sure yet. lol. It's been sitting this long.
