High folks, found these at the thrift store and I love old tools so I had to grab them. patent date on the funny lookin one is 6-30-25. it looks like something to stretch somethin but not sure, hopin someone can fill me in. the second is a wrench that is either insanely old or just had a real tough life, just wondering if anyone can give me a general idea when its from. The last is an old brass bell that some one put a makeshift handle on (quite awhile ago judging by the hardware) couldnt find a makers mark but it almost looks like it might have been an old shop bell above a door, just seein what you guys thought (or if its even very old) Thanks!!

heres another angle on the "whats it"
-
Whatsit looks like an Antique toilet paper holder ???
-
lol, Id agree with ya but the part that would hold the roll is only bout 3.5". guess I should have put measurements up. its 5" long with the handle, not very big..
-
We can look it up on the patent date, but I'm guessing it's a paint roller.
-
Hmmm... I'm not finding a patent with that date for anything that looks like this. Anyone else have better luck?
-
a paint rollers a pretty good guess, I looked up the patent date too and came up with nothing

I was thinking for like a spool of string, if the spool fit inside the hook, the hook would help keep the string from tangling and or moving upward when unwinding, would work of bailing wire too. Just a thought.
-
I was thinking for strapping with tape or bounding material.

The "whats it" could be a "special" wrench for turning a valve ..... which has a center hole in the stem ..... and lugs or "dogs" around the outside of the valve .... like teeth on a gear.
Holding it by the handle, ..... insert the tapered end into the "hole" in the valve stem ........ with the other projection between two of the lugs ...... and then turning the handle left or right of the center axis.

That alligator wrench probably could be found in most tool boxes on a piece of horse drawn farm machinery back in the 1890's. A lot of them got lost in the field until recovered as an artifact decades later.

That other thing looks like something you would put a spool on and walk with it. I hope someone figures it out!
