I can't believe someone actually threw this out. I found it last night next to the garbage can walking my dog. From what I could find out, the label dates from 1897 to 1926. For some reason I'm thinking firewood basket ???? I'm not sure what it's called. I do know it's antique wicker. I couldn't believe my eyes when I got home and saw the label on the bottom. I can't make out the model number, but I was hoping someone has a reference book and could find out what model this piece is and what was it called in the heywood brothers and wakefield company catalog. Thanks.

I'm betting a firewood holder as well! Nice!
Love getting that "Road Kill"! LOL

Way cool to find anything Heywood Wakefield next to the trash. Hey, at least the people knew better than to just toss it in the can. Maybe they knew it was old and wanted someone to stroll along and save it. :)

You have to wonder what would tempt someone to toss that?
(One time, while invited to a home that the family was cleaning out after the passing of their parents, I found more items of interest in the trash than in the house. They had basically hauled two generations of stuff out of the attic directly to the curb.)
