I have another stumper and hope some one can tell who painted this.  It is signed but I can't make it out, it looks like R----  52.  Hard to read. I know her grandmother probably purchased it in the 1900's possibly 1952 but I would bet it is earlier.  It is well done and she had excellent taste in furniture and paintings.  Any help would be greatly appreciated if someone would recongnize the style.  I am sure it was purchased in New York where she lived.

Thank you for that information and yes it is oil on canvas. Actually it would have belonged to my month--in-laws grandparents. He was very well known in Owego New York and owned a clothing store.  How would I find out?

  This is a cut glass decanter.  Has to be pretty old no name on it but pretty heavy. Can you give me any idea how old it is and what it is?

   I took these pictures together as they both seem to be very good crystal. Could not find any markings but the tall vase seems to be cut crystal.  Not sure about the other one but it is very heavy.  Are there any crystal collectors out there or books I can look at to get an idea?

   Where can I go to find out about cut glass crystal patterns?  This is a very heavy seems to be cut glass pitcher.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   Wanted to see if anyone can tell me who did this fish?  It is very heavy and can't seem to find a signature unless it is somewhere I didn't look.  It seems to be very nicely made.
