The famous foundry that made the cast iron pieces spelled was/is spelled  A. Durenne.

Without handling this it would be hard to tell if it was an original piece (weight, quality, crispness of design).  However, the precise inscription is suspect.  Copies of this same frame have been produced and are still desired. Many replicas are generally stamped with a product code on a leg. 

If you search cast iron french renaissance tripod frame with cherubs you will see more like this on the internet.

Hello everyone,

I recently acquired an ornate antique frame and I’m hoping for some help with authentication and valuation.
   •   The back is engraved: “A. Dyrenne, Paris 1882.”
   •   Material: appears to be cast bronze (possibly brass or iron) with a dark patina.
   •   Style: highly decorative Rococo/Baroque revival with multiple cherubs/putti, scrollwork, and floral details.
   •   Size: 15"x9"
   •   Weighs approximately 6lbs
From what I’ve read, Auguste Dyrenne was a Parisian bronze/cast metal maker active in the late 19th century. I would love to know:
   1.   Does this engraving seem authentic for Dyrenne’s work?
   2.   Would this have originally been a picture frame, mirror frame, or something else?
   3.   What is the approximate resale/collector value in today’s market?

I’ve attached photos of the frame (front and back with the inscription). Any information, references, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

It seems like my thinking is slowing me down. My head is filled with the following attitudes: "it won't work", "it's too late", "not the one". All this prevents me from moving forward. I want to reboot my internal beliefs so that they help me, and don't hold me back. I read that this is possible, but it's hard to do alone. Who has worked on this — with a coach, a psychologist, on their own? I need support, direction, and someone's experience.

Hello,
I have a dish made around the mid nineties.  It is 13" long and 6" at the widest point of dish space waves.  There is a scene of a building called "State Normal and Dormitory", Spearfish, So. Dakota.
Does anyone have an idea as to its worth?

Since it was made around the mid-1990s, it's not really an "antique" (which usually means 100 years old or older). It would fall into the more classic collectible category. The "State Normal and Dormitory, Spearfish, So. Dakota" scene is an interesting touch, as it ties into a specific historical place and time, which might appeal to collectors interested in local history, college memorabilia, or even those with a personal connection to Spearfish or the institution (now Black Hills State University).

My Mother has asked for some help in selling some of her antique China, all she knows is that some of it is Dresden.
