Age of Windsor Rocker
« on: September 25, 2025, 12:05:57 PM »
Hey guys, it has been ages since my last post and I hope you are all doing well! Hubby has decided he likes this Windsor rocking chair. The price is right and it would be a fun road trip. Furniture is not my forte, and I could use some assistance. The patina looks good, wear is correct in all the appropriate places for use. There are no screws. The only pegs I see coming through adjoining pieces are at the back of each arm. Visible in the second photo.  All the rest are blind holes. No markings of any kind. No cracks. Underside of the seat is plain. Looks like walnut finish. I am thinking late 19th century? I would love to hear what you guys think.

Just from the pictures - it looks like the real deal to me - especially the wear on it!

Hope all is well with you and that fabulous place you bought!  Did you ever get the work finished?!  Miss seeing your treasures!

FYI - Unfortunately Mart passed away last year not long after her husband.  She is terribly missed!
